MODIFICAÇÃO NAS FUNÇÕES DE PRODUÇÃO von LIEBIG

Resumo
Os modelos von Liebig têm sido criticados por não considerarem a possibilida- de de interações (Nelson et ai. 1985). Esta critica não é totalmente vãlida porque pesquisadores mostraram que os modelos von Liebig consideram interações (Lanzer 1977, Grimm 1986). O que ocorre é que as funções de produção agrícola consideram o que se pode chamar de interações de primeira ordem. Contudo, podem ser encontradas evidências na literatura da existência de interações de segunda ordem (Terman et ai. 1972, Paris & Paris 1985). Utilizando a lei das relações fisiológicas formulada por Eilhard von Mitscherlich no início do século, bem como uma nova interpretação da lei proposta por Steenbjerg & Jakobsen (1966), o presente trabalho estende os modelos von Liebig para contemplar efeitos de interação de segunda ordem. A importância deste ponto é que uma função de produção mais realística, em concordância com o comportamento da natureza, possibilita uma melhor interpretação de resultados experimentais.
