Abstract
Citrus leprosis mite-pathosystem has many peculiarities such as non-systemic and non-transovarian viral transmission and a slow initial spread. Those peculiarities, if incorporated to a management program of disease control will result in more efficient control of the viruliferous mite vectors, a progressive reduction of viral inoculum, and a substantial reduction in the costs involved in disease control. In this paper, we present simulations of the costs of different strategies to control citrus leprosis disease.
