Submission Guidelines
To submit manuscripts to the journal, download the templates from the links below and send a message to the email: biomedinar@gmail.com.
The manuscript should not contain any information about the authors, only the material for analysis (also delete from the document, click on save as, observe below the document type, in authorship and delete the name that appears).
Attach the Manuscript and the Cover Page, responsibility statement, and copyright transfer.

The journal adopts the Vancouver style for citations and references. Please ensure that your manuscript adheres to this standard.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check the compliance of their submission with all of the following items listed below. Submissions that do not adhere to the guidelines will be returned to the authors.
- The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being considered for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in the "Comments to the Editor" section.
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document as attachments.
- The text follows the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined below on this page.
Author Guidelines
Before beginning the submission process, please ensure that you comply with the following conditions, which need to be provided at the beginning of the submission:
- The manuscript is in Word format, single-spaced, and with Times New Roman font size 12 pts.
- The manuscript does not include author identification anywhere in the document, including document properties, data sources, tables, maps, or easily identifiable bibliographic references.
- It includes all supplementary files with graphics, tables, maps, and other illustrations inserted into the body of the text. These may be in color.
- Insert a separately prepared Word file containing the title of the work, names of the authors, contact (email), country of residence, ORCID, institution/affiliation, and a biography summary (highest degree, place of education, and professional activities). All authors must provide this information.
- The abstract has a maximum of 250 words and has been provided in both Portuguese and English. Tolerance of +9. Not exceeding 260 words.
- The title and keywords have been provided in both languages.
These conditions will need to be confirmed. To avoid delays or rejection in submission, please ensure compliance with these guidelines.
Manuscripts
The Biomedinar journal accepts manuscripts for publication in the following categories:
1. Original articles:
Results of empirical, theoretical, experimental, or conceptual research.
Between 2,000 to 10,000 words, with up to 7 figures/tables.
Title; Abstract and Keywords; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusion; and References.
2. Review articles:
Aims to critically and not merely descriptively present, from the author's perspective, the state of the art in one of the areas or subareas of biomedical and health sciences. Between 5,000 to 15,000 words, up to 10 figures/tables.
Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Materials and Methods; Results and discussion (including sub-topics of each addressed subject, with the last sub-topic being the discussion); Final considerations; and References.
3. Case reports:
Detail an investigation into a specific case, whether rare or underrepresented in the scientific literature.
Between 1,500 to 5,000 words, up to 5 figures/tables.
Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Objective; Method; Case report; Conclusion; and References.
4. Experience reports:
Document and analyze practical or pedagogical experiences.
Between 1,500 to 5,000 words, up to 5 figures/tables.
Title; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Objective; Method; Experience report; Discussion; Conclusion/Partial or final considerations; and References.
5. Others (Contact the Journal by e-mail): Letter to the editor, Brief Communication.:
Presents a detailed summary of research or projects.
Between 1,000 to 2,000 words, up to 3 figures/tables.
Title; Abstract; Keywords; Materials and Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; and References
*Whenever there is additional material, include it after the References: SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL
[CAUTION]All the manuscripts mentioned above follow the English language as the standard. If the original text is in Portuguese, it should additionally include the English translation of the title, abstract, and keywords.
The editors will assess the manuscripts through the Plagiarism Detect or Plagium website shortly after submission;
Based on the results, the editors and editorial board will decide whether the manuscript will be sent for peer review, where reviewers will also conduct evaluations;
After acceptance, we will inform you of the progress via email until publication.
Ethical research criteria must be respected. For studies involving research with human subjects, authors must explicitly state that the research was conducted in accordance with the standards required by the Helsinki Declaration and approved by the Research Ethics Committee (REC) of the institution where the research was conducted, with its respective approval number, when applicable.
At the end of the article, declare whether there are any conflicts of interest or not.

(For Brazilian authors) References for legal documents should follow the standards recommended by NBR 6023 from the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT - 2002), with the graphic pattern adapted to the Vancouver Style, as the Vancouver norms do not meet all the requirements of Brazilian legal documentation.

COST POLICY: There are no costs for submission and peer review of the Biomedinar journal. After acceptance, the author who submitted the article must pay the Article Processing Charges (APCs) to have the article published. If the article is not accepted for publication, the author will not pay any fee.
Cost for Brazilian authors (Real): R$ 80.00
Cost for foreign authors (US Dollar): $50
Payment instructions: We will inform you of the necessary data by email after approval of the manuscript for publication.
ARTICLES
Currently, all articles are in the main section, starting with original and review articles, followed by reports, and so forth. All in a single section.

The Biomedinar journal adopts the Creative Commons Attribution license (CC-BY). This license allows the reuse of publications in full or in part for any purpose, free of charge, even for commercial purposes. Anyone or any institution can copy, distribute, or reuse the content, provided that the author and the original source are properly cited.

The names and addresses provided in this journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.
