The Revista de Economia e Sociologia Rural (RESR) aims to disseminate research results in the fields of rural economics, administration, outreach, and sociology to promote and stimulate the debate of themes and issues of economic and social importance, as well as to collaborate to the scientific and technological development of Brazil and other parts of the world.

The Revista de Economia e Sociologia Rural (RESR), in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), invites researchers to submit manuscripts for its 2027 special issue:
This special issue aims to bring together studies on sustainable agriculture and livestock farming in Brazil, focusing on technologies and public policies associated with the ABC+ Plan. The call welcomes research on policy impacts, territorial evidence, economic modeling, financing instruments, productive inclusion, and global trends in agricultural sustainability.
Submission deadline: February 2027
Accepted languages: Portuguese, Spanish, and English
Multilingual publication: Accepted articles will be published in Portuguese, Spanish, and English
Fee waiver: Submission and publication fees will be waived for articles accepted for the special issue
📌 Important: At the time of submission, authors must upload a supplementary file entitled “carta de identificação da submissão para o dossiê (MAPA)” (submission identification letter for the special issue), stating that the manuscript is being submitted for consideration in this call.
