About the Publisher

The Sociedade Brasileira de Economia, Administração e Sociologia Rural (SOBER) was established on 23 February 1960. SOBER is a scientific, cultural, and educational society aiming to develop rural social sciences (rural administration, economics, outreach, communication, and sociology) and related areas, also providing support for the implementation of public policies directed to the agricultural, agro-industrial, and rural sectors.

To achieve these goals, SOBER should promote:

1. Permanent exchange among scholars in rural social sciences;
2. Research, teaching, and studies in rural social sciences;
3. Organization of an information service on teaching, research, personnel, and institutions specialized in its field of action;
